Kids Kitchen Playsets
Toy Fridges, Stoves
& Sinks, Oh My!
Recently, I came across some beautiful wooden kids kitchen playsets online. Because of the
vibrant colours and sturdy construction, one particular kids kitchen playset made me wish I had
little kids again, and sent me down memory lane…
I ran a family daycare for several years while my kids were growing up. In my daycare, the kids kitchen playset
was always the most popular playset with all the children, from the toddlers right on up to the pre-school and
kindergarten kids.
We had a wooden counter top with a plastic bowl for the sink and a set of cupboards below. We also had a toy
fridge and stove, as well as a wooden ironing board and iron. I stocked the kitchen with lots of plastic play food
and utensils, plates and bowls, toy pots and pans, a toy hand mixer, rolling pin, tea kettle, cups and saucers,
wooden spoons, mixing bowls. Everything you'd need to cook for your playmates or dolls, or invite them to a tea
party. Every day my daycare children would pretend to be a baker or a chef… or a mommy or daddy making dinner for
their kids.
The little boys were just as interested in playing house as the little girls and the kids kitchen
playset was just as much fun for them. I think I actually had a few budding chefs over the years! At least
I had to pretend to eat a lot of wooden play food and playdough cookies and cakes! And I can't count the number of
kids' tea parties that kitchen playset sparked. Tip: Always add a kids teaset to your play kitchen. Here are a lot
of other ideas for what you can add to your kids kitchen
playset.
When I found some wooden kids kitchen playsets online, I was
amazed at how beautiful, sturdy and realistic they were. Ours was a pretty simple, plain wood kitchen playset, but
the kids loved it. I can't imagine how thrilled they would have been to see what's available now! Heck, I even want
to play with the kids pretend kitchens that are available now! Toy
fridges, stoves and sinks, oh my!
By the way, this merchant also carries laundry room kids kitchen playsets, with
washer and dryer, ironing board, etc. They are so cute! Add a
tiny plastic laundry basket for dirty dolls' clothes. Don't forget the little (empty!) boxes of detergent. Tip: The
ones you get from the dispenser at the laundromat are perfect.
Visit my favourite kids kitchen playsets merchant for a large variety of
toy food, dishes, utensils... and wooden kids kitchen playsets of course!
